What would happen if there was no writing in the world? There would be little expression of yourself and there wouldn’t be any books or documents. There would be no poetry or music. There would be no communication. There would be less technology and we wouldn’t know anything about our history. People wouldn’t be able to send messages to each other like e-mail and almost everything in our world would be different.
During this year in Language Arts we had three major writing pieces. My favorite writing piece was probably my non-narrative writing piece. I liked this writing piece because I think it was my best one of the year. I think it had good and creative statements throughout the essay. The essay had a topic that I cared about.
While I was working on this writing piece I feel I have mastered writing bold statements. I feel I mastered this because I think I had good statements that explained how I felt. I also feel that I added personal connections to my story that helped make my sentences better. I added information about my own experiences that helped my essay have very good sentences.
I think I also mastered organization of my writing piece. I feel that I organized my piece very well. I think this because throughout my piece I organized my ideas into paragraphs. I think that I also had proof with details to prove my ideas.
In conclusion I feel that my non-narrative writing piece was my best writing piece of the year. I feel it had good organization and bold statements. I think I got better at organization. I feel I need to work on sentence variety though. Overall I feel I have improved writing from last year.
